asda fuel is shit , proven in the past to have a high water content around our way and has also been regarded as carap by autocar.clicky for the crap fuel runnning 3 vans in the past i used to force my drivers to search out best prices, now though i have an esso fuel card which a gives you a good price(if there is such a thing) and saves on repairs for egr valves, fuel pumps and injectors and usually cats breaking before i sell the van. cheap fuel does not mean economical driving as cheap fuel f*cks your car/van up. very rarely use tesco stuff now either ________________________________________ puglessPhase 1 GTI 6 1996-1997 Subaru Impreza GB270 2007-2008 rare spiderman comics same day international courier |

I usually pay around £1.35, but thought I'd get a nice tank of V Power last week. The display on the pump wasn't reading properly, but inside I found it was £1.44.9 ltr ________________________________________ Spanner Monkeys Monkey SpannerForum Search Clicky |

Super's only 7p a litre more and over the course of a tank that's only £3.50 extra but will see a return in fuel economy and generally a better quality fuel. That's what, two pints a month less and you'll get better fuel?Seems a no brainer to me. Even if you're only sticking a tenner's worth of fuel in it's only 50p or so more expensive. Yes prices are ridiculous but the difference between the fuels is barely noticeable ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

that is rubbish, tried all that shell stuff extra mileage my ass. I can fill my van with 92 quid everyother day and it will return 425 a tank no matter what fuel you put iinit. it is all in how you drive and all the new cars have this stupid gear change indicator on them to change up/down to obtain maximum mileage per litre. which all revolves around you driving within a millimetere of stalling. that would put two hours on my day and ai would probably lose work through being late home. tried all different makes of fuel in the scoob and again it makes no difference because if you toe it for 2 minutes on the motorway you drink a stack of fuel. the mimi returns about 52 per gallon ...should be doing 72 but again it is how you drive it ________________________________________ puglessPhase 1 GTI 6 1996-1997 Subaru Impreza GB270 2007-2008 rare spiderman comics same day international courier |

I'd imagine in a charged vehicle like a subaru or a supercharged 306 you will notice it as long as you re-set the ecu, lower grade fuel will cause knock and make the ecu retard the ignition, hence producing less torque and having to use more fuel.in a standard naturally aspirated car, not sure tbh. I did notice my 205 ran nicer on SUL, but not so much in the ZX. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Thought the XU10 was mapped for 97 RON anyway? Would have thought it would make some difference as otherwise what's the point in running two differenct octanes on the forecourt? My car definitely behaves better on 97, has less hissy fits for sure ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Although my van definatly prefers bp ultimate over any other make of fuel. But I think fords seem to love bp off. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |
