Don't underestimate how useful gash weather can be, direct sunlight is your worst enemy when you're trying to clean a car, you'll end up giving up as all the products dry up too quickly.

What you need are cool panels to work on, clouds ftw.

Right, just had 30mins before it rained Sad

Managed to get the drivers side front arch done.

You can tell it hasnt been cleaned in a while, there was alot of tar (bugger to remove, still not got it all off) and general grubby marks...

After a degrease, a shampoo, polish and wax there is certainly a huge improvement. For a start it shines and the colour isnt flat anymore...

Certainly in need of a few more washes but its a start...

I took some pics i will try my best to put them up later, but its white and its so hard to tell the difference on a pic but will see what the they look like!

Its a start anyway Big grin

On a seprate note, i seem to have loads of little black specs (easy to see on a white car,) which i believe to be tar...

Anyone got any suggestions on the easiest way to remove them?!?! They are a pain in the ar*e!!

Inbetween rain and work i have cleaned the whole car, but only polished and waxed two front wings and bonnet....

Sounds stupid but you can tell the difference, it now has a shine to it!

Im just struggling with the tar, im going to order some of that tardis stuff as the halfrauds cheap shite i found is as useful as a chocolate fire guard Sad

Tardis is good, but do be careful with it. It's largely spirit-based, so it does warn you it can soften your paint if you leave it on too long.

Get it on, get off the tar and wash the stuff off sharpish.

It'll get rid of anything else. I just use some poundland tar remover then clay the f*ck out of it as I am too cheap to buy another product.

Autobrite also sell a product called targo.

I'm loving being able to plug all these local suppliers.

Which makro? one on the a34 off the a 500??

I got some degreaser from autobrite which gets everything BUT tar, so car is clean but with the odd spec of tar here and there which on a white car is slightly annoying! Smile
