Just after some advice.. my car is making an irritating clicking/tapping noise. Speeds up with engine speed. Unsure weather its tappets or what? I would say the noise is slightly worse once oil has warmed up. If its tappets how much would they set me back to buy? Any advice would be nice. cheers Phil |

Is it like a sowing machine noise? Could be a bent valve if its that or it just could be noisy injectors. Im sure someone else will post to clarify. Hope ya get it sorted ________________________________________ |

I wouldn't really say soeing machine like to be honest. Some times the noise seems worse than others. Unless thats just me. The noise is more noticeable once youve let off and letting the revs drop. I have recently put some second hand injectors off a guy on here in. Does anyone know who returns injectors and for how much that would be a help? Also is there an easy way to check for lazy/warn lifters, bent valve, noisey injectors. This would also be a great help. |

I shall try get a decent video tonight mate. The only problem is I only have internet via my phone. I could email you a video. Iv read a few threads on hear. And most of the time its noisey injectors.. if you let me know on here or pm me your email il get a video of the noise to you. |

Have a look in the search bit, some people have put videos up of their car and it was a tapper (sowing machine noise)to get advice. Have a listen to some of them and see if its the same. You can put the video on here and change your title thread to 'is it a tapper?' that way more people will prob look and listen You can email me the video though at poogiefois@aol.com but i dont have speakers working so wont be able to listen till the weekend when im at my boyfriends________________________________________ |
