Hello,

Left the car standing for a week after no issues, and came back to find the car has zero power, not enough to work the central locking, any dash lights, and even the red flashy light wasnt flashing!!

Tried the other day to jump it with some leads but that made no difference what so ever....

Any suggestions would be much appreciated Big grin

Thanks in advance,

Donny Cheers

If you still had no power at all with jump leads connected then you have a wiring issue somewhere. Check the main leads coming off the battery are secure and check the main fuses in the engine bay.

Ok, The leads seemed pretty secure when i was checking them. Where abouts are the fuses located?

Could it be a dodgy earth somewhere too?!?

Depends how good the jump leads was as them thin and cheap shitty ones will only carry enough power to start a smart car or somthing tiny.

Try some good thick jump leads that will carry enough power through that's needed.

True, poor jump leads may not provide enough power to start the engine but there will be more than enough to turn the interior lights on, or the dash warning lights, for example.

Yeah, they were just the average jump leads, left them for a good ten fifteen mins too! and no lights at all!

Could it be a bad earth or is that unlikely as it was running fine before hand?

Best checking the fuses in the engine bay?

Disconnect battery and jump it, collapsed battery has caused this on some boats I have serviced. If not check aforementioned fuses etc
