Halfords have stopped selling the kits aswell as the pads now. All of the stores near me have, some of the very big stores may still carry them

How are you fitting them? I've had 306's for a few years now and not lost any yet. I've seen people fit them all sorts of ways round etc but this way seems to work.

Any motorfactors should be able to give you a kit, ferodo number is FBA504

What the f*ck is that? For a start your springs are the wrong way up and the locking bar shouldn't pass beneath them.

I've fitted mine exactly as per the FAQ and never ever had a problem, I can't understand how people f*ck it up.

All the pug's I've come across have them this way, like fronts on 106's etc. The springs are held tighter this way even tho I doubt they actually do anything. Like I said tho, never lost any pads like this.

That's because you have the bar fitted correctly. As said though, the springs should loop over the top of the pads.

Re-reading my sentence I guess I make it sound like the bar is on the wrong part!

the springs will of course be at the bottom on the front of a 106, but the bar at the top, as the caliper is the other way up Smile
