I'm looking at fitting the engine bay side of the car with Aeroquip hoses. I'm aware that i need AN 6 sized connectors. I'm going to get the weld on ones for the fuel rail but i'm wondering what ones i need to use on the other end of the fuel lines which go back to the plastic connectors by the brake servo. |

The tank end unions are plastic push fits and unsuitable really for aeroquip style hose. unless you chop them otff the pipe and use jubilee clips to fit them to the new hose.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Torques do an An-6 to male push-on hose barb connector. As said check out their ebay shop ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. No, put the barb in the original hose as close to the tank as possible and use the original hose into the push fit on the tank. Or take the hose barb/AN 6 adaptor to a machinist and have him turn the adaptor down on a lathe to the same diameter as standard fuel hose and push that into the female connector. You may need to get a fairly large diameter barb (say 10mm?) to have enough material to machine off safely. Its not worth the effort really though, I'd just use 4 inches or so of the orginal plastic hose, then fit the adaptor and jubilee clip, then run braided hose the rest of the way. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. I am running 2 8mm pipes from the pump with those push fit connectors in the end. Torques are spot on and he also has does the brake pipe connectors too, brought all my stuff from him so far and not had a problem and his customer service is spot on. If you email him and pay outside of ebay he does a good deal too. |
