I've tried 2 headunits in the car and neither can store radio stations or settings. It's really annoying me as I have a Pioneer screen and I need to set it to stay out so it wont catch on the dashboard but for some reason the headunit doesnt save the settings. None of the wires behind the headunit look as though they have been touched the only thing that I can think is causing it is the Clifford alarm. Anyone got any ideas what might cause it and how to sort it out? |

Hmm, the fuse location can make it so the HU is always live....but i think yours is a different issue. I kow of another car that has the same, loses radio stations when ignition turned off.....________________________________________ VW Golf GT TDI 115, 100k nooooooooooooooooooooo! |

Yeah looks like I'll have to take it to a car audio place. It's not always live it only comes on with ignition.musclebeach wrote: Hmm, the fuse location can make it so the HU is always live....but i think yours is a different issue. u need to swap the 2 power feeds around, 1 is ignition feed the other is perminant live, p.live needs to be connected to the memory. if its an after market head unit u should have some bulet connectors on the short bit of loom that plugs in the back of the unit, connect red to yellow and then yellow to red and that should sort your problem.________________________________________ My GTi6 track projectWhite Rallye project |

Yep what Mark said. Had this issue with a previous car, would never save any settings. Swap feeds around and bingo. |

The permanent live and ignition (red and yellow) were round the wrong way. I've switched them round and its saving settings and sounds much better. Thanks for the help |
