im in the process of hardpiping my boost pipework and am wondering about engine movement causing stress and crackin a weld or pipe in the future, there will be 4 silicon connectors, but im wondering wether to use the hump connectors instead of straight silicon as they are ment to allow for engine movement.
there wont be much as ive got the solid rubber mounts but still i want to make sure any tiny amount of movement wont cause stress on the pipework.
how have other folk done theres and have you had any problems with pipes/welds cracking and splitting?
thanks andy

You don't need the humped ones I have just used straight, also I would use longer connectors than 75mm as I had a 75mm connector and blew the boost hose straight off, changed to longer ones and not had a problem since Smile

No my pipes are just straight (no beads) , the 100mm humps would be better yes, also I have a silicone connector straight off my charger and have not gone down the welded route, no problems with collapsing pipes either Smile , use the Mikalor clamps too,

Humped connectors like that can split just like any others. Its a common problem for them to split on the smaller HDI engines.
