Just wondered really as supposedly its one of those things that can cause issues if badly worn.

Just wondering what things to change when i get my clutch done..

So far got fork bearings and obviously the clutch itself.

Contemplating a lightened flywheel if funds permit

No spigot bearing on a GTi6, the clutch itself has a splined centre.

You should give some thought to a new clutch cable, but depends what issues you're trying to solve.

LOL ive had two new clutch cables in as many months! First because the original snapped then a second because the first kept slipping off the clutch pedal! Second feels alot stiffer and more tensioned and have had no more issues touch wood. Is it the fork bearings that are advised to be greased to help the pedal stay lighter for longer?

No don't grease them. Just clean them out / fit new ones and take all the rust off the top and bottom of the fork where it is in contact with the bushes.

If you grease them the pedal will stiffen over time as the grease dries out.
