when i turn the key it just clicks. battery reads 12.4v so i take it it is the starter motor?
any help would be greatly apreciated guys

went to change the starter motor and the only way i can see of doing it is by removing the intake manifold. looked at the faq on it an thats easy enough but i take it you'd have to remove the air intake on the right hand side to completly remove it? or can you just move the manifold slightly to get access?when i turn the key it just clicks. battery reads 12.4v so i take it it is the starter motor? any help would be greatly apreciated guys ________________________________________ Cherry Red - Phase 1 RestorationShe's alive again |

take the manifold off. you can leave the airbox in place but just have to remove the pipes next to it.Did mine recently as i had a similar issue. If you can get to the starter motor you should see next to where the terminal for the main battery connector is another terminal. Stick +12v from a jump lead etc and see if it turns.. if so then sounds like the solenoid inside had died. |

got it done but f*ck me the allen key bolts on the starter are a b*tch to get out. starts just by key now, delighted________________________________________ Cherry Red - Phase 1 RestorationShe's alive again |
