Any bright ideas why my heaters only blow hot? Never heard of them just blowing hot before?

I'm stumped!

either the control panel faulty, or the motor that moves the flap, or a wiring or relay fault

This happened to my HDi years ago when it was still quite new. Tried replacing the control panel first but made no difference. Turned out to be the mounting for the heater motor on the inside of the dashboard which had partially sheared off. Was a complete dash-out job. Replacement part about £20, labour £600+ Shock

Are you able to adjust the degree of heat, or is it on max all the time? Is the fan speed control still working normally?

Does sound exactly like the problem I had. You may want to 'borrow' a control panel from another 306 first just to check it definitely isn't that as it's less time consuming, but it is looking likely that the dashboard will be coming out............
