Audio System, If you can get hold of them. Im sure i found a distributor for the UK, only one left i believe. They are by far the best 6*9's Ive ever heard. If thats the route you really want to go. EDIT: seen you want to run of HU, don't bother buying anything expensive.. |

The amplifier in a HU i guess doesn't provide enough power to the 6x9's so you'd have expensive 6x9's never performing how they should be. But tbh i'm running Pioneer 6x9's which i can't imagine were over £50 and they're really good, shame the fronts don't match!Slip an amp in there and they're being powered how they were meant to be. ________________________________________ VW Golf GT TDI 115, 100k nooooooooooooooooooooo! |

as stated above, a decent HU gives about 12watt rms per channel, an external amp provides much more power and is, more importantly much more stable/controlled (thd related)if you need a good one and don't want to add loads of weight, have a look at these, which I happen to have for sale: Lightweight RF amps & other ICE one of the 4channels (4.6x) would be good for you I think, could hook up both the rear and the fronts or just bridge the channels on the rears as for 6*9", both focal and audio system are good calls, infinity ain't bad either, but also take a look at re (resonant engineering) ________________________________________ Team WheelwhoreTeam Limited Edition Astor 306 Francorchamps RIP Virtual Blue 208 GTi quote: I this place. Pretty much the same effect as having a small sub in the boot. It does distort though if you try and listen loud, but it goes loud enough and sounds clear enough for what I need. Depends what you're after..... ! ________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

Most (and all the best) speakers are round for a good reason. Don't bother with 6x9s. They look chavvy, sound worse and are horrendously overpriced compared to the equivalent spec 6"/6.5" alternatives. I definitely wouldn't waste money out on anything fancy if you're going to run it off the HU, because it will distort sooner if it's not matched with its amp.________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |
