Hello everyone i have a 306 phase 1 that has a drum rear beam and its nakerd and needs to be replaced.

I would replace it with one the same but i can only source one with discs and ive been told that the stub axle is too short, is this true and if so how would it affect the car.

ive also sourced the new handbrake cables and am aware you can use existing brake hoses.

It's a straightforward swap provided you use handbrake cables for a disc brake axle. You would possibly only have issues if you were attempting to convert the new disc beam back to drums.
