I've got an oil leak on my HDi, which is impossible to see exactly where it's leaking from. I've had it about 7 months, when I bought it it was fine untill I changed the oil. I put 5w30 which is slightly thinner than recommended.
I've bought some Lucas oil stop leak & i'm thinking of putting thicker oil in.
Could this help stop the leak?

Just had a good look underneath & looks like oil is coming from the pipe which comes from the turbo.

Sounds like a leaking pipe or a leaking seal then. Clean the area thoroughly and look for where the oil reappears first.

The handbook says 5W30 is fine for an HDi engine.

That's a lot easier said than done. Access is very restricted to the general area from where the oil is leaking from.
