Hey guys

Headgasket went on my car so a friend is doing it for me! He has now told me to get it crack tested as he doesn't like where the head has blown or something like that!

What's the worst case scenario now? Head comes back cracked? That mean it can't be fixed and I need a new head? I'm not mechanically minded so any response would be great! Thanks guys

Rehab would be my suggestion... Whistle

Seriously though, unless it overheated badly there's no real risk of this happening. You should get the head skimmed while it's off though, to make sure you have a good, flat face on it.

take it to south wales pistons Thumbs up

make sure the crank is not moved when the head is off as its an alloy block with liners, you'll damage the liner seals doing so as the head clamps them in place.
