This has been a Project for a long time but nothing really has happened, but i've finally started Collecting parts for it.

Originally i was going to convert a ph3 xsi to a gti as bought a cheap written off GTi and a half decent ph3 xsi

XSi:

But then a cheap Black Gti came up for sale:

The list of things to do:

-Strip the car down, to include sound deadening and unnecessary metal parts
-transfer the Ph3 "pretty bits" onto the ph2
-Smooth Boot
-Roll Cage
-Bucket Seats
-Lower car about 30mm
-Respray 205 Gti alloys and fit some half decent tyres
-Probably lots more

Parts collected so far:

Bucket seats and harness

One of a couple of spare engines

I have OMP upper strut brace

Spax lowering shocks, and Koni adjustable rear shocks.

Magnex Cat back and Devil Decat.

Some photoshops of whats i am aiming for. have stolen other peoples photos to make these.

Hey John, i see you are planning something nice there. Guess what... after i got my diabolo 6 written off i saturday went to the Netherlands to get myself a nice black 6 without engine. I have been thinking about nice colour combinations that would fitt the black 6 and came up with 2.

One being kawasaki green, like what you are planing, and the other would be a radiant orange Smile

Did you made the photoshops yourself by the way? Looking good. Thumbs up

I'll get some pics of my new 6 and finally start my project thread once i'm done with my exams at university Wink

Green is definitely the way forward

You will have to get some pics up, i thought about orange too but went for green unsure why.

This is the car i photoshopped which was orange.

You planning on using the engine from your old car, and transferring all the other mods from it. im unsure whether to use my black masks on the black car, might be too stealthy for track.

I dont think i will, just callipers. I don't want to overdo the green. I do have 3 sets of the speedlines so i could test it out.

Very small update

Saxo seat mounts are slightly different than 306 but will be drilling some new holes then they will fit fine, so no need to buy new ones, which im happy about as they aren't cheap.

Position of the buckets for the time being.

Cleaning up the outside with some nice ph3 bits already bonnet and lights

Ignore wheels they are temporary spares.

Received the new Lower strut brace, can't wait to get it painted up and fitted, will be painting lots of engine parts at same time. Might remove the engine to tidy up the bay if i find the time

Braces, Cam covers, Mount brackets all going to Painted Kawasaki Green Smile

Quick polish, These updates are quite slow but now im home for summer im hoping to get the project progressing a bit faster, aiming to be on track by end of summer.

Thats why its now sitting on stilts

I know the history of this car, can see all its repair jobs, but nothing serious so all good. Im sure i will end up binning it at some point on the track anyway.

Took the dash out and air-con/heater matrix system, surprising how heavy it all is.

Got loads of wiring to cut out now,Planning to have no electrics going to the roods, so not going to be the most comfortable but its a track car. Also Cutting down the dash.

Also tried out white writing on the wheels.

Yeah really need to buy some green paint to start tarting things up.

And it would take more than 30minutes berger as its an old farm and its overgrown everywhere, Would just grow back in a week, you should see the brambles we have, they are vicious buggers.

You don't happen to have any spare bucket seats do you? I'd kill for a set similar to yours; I always end up falling out of mine on the way to work LOL

My project is on hold a the minute until i have some news from the insurance company.

Just out of interest what type of colour and clear coat are you planing to use to paint the cam covers and other engine parts that are exposed to heat?

Wont be road legal so unfortunately not at any meets. Unless maybe a track day.

Only have to bucket seats, have loads of half leather seats at the moment and barely any space to store them while im trying to sell them. You dont need to replace yours do you? hehe

Ah no, insurance companies take their time. I hope they sort it out soon for you.

Haven't thought about the paint i will be using yet, might just use calliper paint that i will most likely have left over from doing them.

For strut braces i will just be using car paint, as it doesn't get too hot. And use cheap BBQ paint on the manifold.

Got the engine out of the car im breaking ready for a quick paint and to fit the rallye aux setup.

Looks like my mate chewed up the chassis when driving it:

Now for the exhuast:

Straight through manifold back to a tiny 1-2inch box on the back, or the choice of a 4inch magnex

This sounded awesome with the tiny tail pipe fitted can't wait to get it all on the car and give it a quick blast

Well a delivery van turned up today wasn't expecting it so soon, lucky i was in. Here it is what i been waiting for Smile

Where to store it though as don't want it to go rusty before i paint it. Might as well just test fit it

Cage is just an bolt in cage. Saxo mounts are same on the outser side of car just need to raise the inners side as it sits about an inch too high so im doing to weld some box section on.
