Pretty sure same both sides But there are two different types according to my local Pug dealer, had to use my chassis number to tell which one I needed. Circa £22 each with VAT IIRC. Nice to get rid of that f*ckin clicking and self closing door though! ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

There are, the early ones have a pin you knock out before removing the strap through the door leaving the end that connects to the chassis in two parts. Phase 3 ones the whole strap is removed through the door as where the pin is it's connected and the hole in the door is bigger so the whole unit can be removed. Buzz I've got a set of phase 3 ones here removed from a moonstone, had no clunks when on the car. ________________________________________ Black X Reg PIII.VGTi 6 A4212 pt 1 A4212 pt 2 Searching the streets of Bristol for 1.36p/day.Joint Kent Leader |

A little update on this....The early ones are in two pieces with 'door strut pins' holding them together. The later ones are one piece. Part no's. are as follows for earlier models (as found on my Rallye): 918173 - Door stop - 21.97 918174 - Stop yoke door - 3.37 918163 - Door strut pin (x2) - 2.48 Part no's. for later models (as found on my '6): 9181E5 - Door stop (not sure of current price) All parts still available but may need to be ordered. Hopefully picking mine up tomorrow....no more clunky doors! ________________________________________ 1999 GTi-6 (china blue)1999 Rallye (black) |
