It went to a garage in Janaury with a starting problem (engine management light on and spluttering all over the shop)
The ECU got sent off and came back fine.
The garage spent nine weeks to get to this point so i chucked my hands in with them and walked away.
i then went to a Peugeot specialists who diagnosed the ECU as having dirty contacts and after they cleaned them up hey presto!
They did say my battery was in a poor state and advised me i would need a new one sooner rather than later and we parted ways.
After less than two miles whilst driving to tax the bloody thing it died as i slowed down to pull in the post office!
No worries i thought it will be the battery and drove the car around for a few miles. The car literally dies at every junction i come too and will not idle (it just dies as if someone rips the battery out)
I have now in the last 24 hours replaced the ICV and got a new battery under warranty from halfords....even though they said my battery was ok
Replacing the ICV and battery has made no difference apart from my car does seem a bit smoother in higher revs. The problems is always in the 1-2k rev range. Sometimes pulling off from junctions causes the engine management light flicker on and if i give it some more revs the car pulls away sluggish but i manage to keep the engine running.
I am at my wits end with this car and was just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what can be causing this issue? The peugeot specialist stated all my coil packs were working...but hey these are the same people who told me my car was working fine!
I also replaced the MAP sensor last year when things first started to go wrong with no joy.
**EDIT** video now shortened
here is a video of my car dying:
MY CAR HATES ME!
And a picture of my filthy ICV!
