You sir either live for the 6 or have a mental retardation to still be repairing this!

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

And, late Xsara VTS's actually have a 23mm rear ARB.

The torsion bars are thinner though. 20mm on the 6 / Rallye vs. 21mm on the Xsara.

Sorry to pick up an old post but is there a difference between a 1996 xsi rear arb and a 1998 gti6 arb? reason i ask is, i'm running a xsi axle on my derv and have just fitted a hybrid to my 6, so have the spare 6 arb, if there is a difference i'll swap them but if not it saves me disturbing the seals, Thanks.

EDIT, Took it apart in the end, both ended up being 23mm.
