Can anybody tell me the technique to remove the standard tape deck? I've got the removing tools and know where the cut outs are on the bottom of the fascia, but the tools won't go in far enough. They only go in about 2/3cm then hit something solid. A picture of the underside of the unit would help to see exactly what it is I'm trying to unlock |

head unit in the cage. When it's all in the dash those two spring clips go down into the holes, all you are trying to do is prise them up a little to release them.________________________________________ pet hate, the cat |

You don't want to go in 2 - 3 cm, more like 12 - 15mm. Point the tools up slightly and you are prising the retainer clip down slightly away from the bottom of the head unit, meaning you are moving the rear of the tool up, if that makes sense. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |
