This is the first time I have got the tyre out since I bought the car at the end of March so I'm quite right now.

Got a flat tyre today on my other car and got the spare tyre out only to discover a red cross on the tyre and a rubber plug in the centre of the cross. Anyone know what this is?This is the first time I have got the tyre out since I bought the car at the end of March so I'm quite right now. mwl001 has attached the following image: |

On the positive side, at least I'll be driving the 6 over the weekend while I get this sorted. |

Most used car places would take a quick look at it, and yeah it would pass for a new tyre with what looks like 7mm of tread on it. Doubtful they would remove it from the spare wheel cage and look all round it. Either way it'll be fine to use. I picked up a puncture on the last track car on a full slick, and that was repaired the same way, used it for ages on track after with no issues. ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? It's from an Audi A4 purchased from an Audi garage - given the premium you pay, you'd expect them to check the tyre! |
