Before few days iw stoped the car normaly. After few hours I tryed to start it as usually but when I turn the key iw heard really strong booom, open the hood and iw saw that plastic part of intake is blown. Does anyone know why this happend. I dont want to put new one and this shit happend again. TNX

Car is 306 s16 1994 Unsure

I had a crack in my 106 gti's but nothing like that!

I imagine its old so the plastic has got brittle over the years.

simple case of a backfire unfortunately, seen it happen on a few.

probably some underlying running issues there somewhere.
