I have just fitted my B4 shocks and Lemforder springs to the rallye and to be honest although the dampers are far superior i'm just not sure, but i dislike the ride. I have more body roll and the car doesn't feel anywhere near as planted. The car is a lot higher on the front as well!

The setup that i took off consisted of pretty shafted GTI6 shocks with SPAX springs. Is this issue purely down the the lower spring rate of the Lemforder springs? I will be swapping back over tommorrow as i cant be bothered with the issue of removing the springs, ill just have to save up!

sounds more like the lemforder springs are not making it sit on the bumpstops when cornering, bnest bet is some o.e springs or Eibachs.

It doesnt feel like it sits on the bumpstops mate, the front of the car was raised a fair bit as well. Im assuming the lemforders were 30mm drop and the spax 40mm. Do Eibachs drop the front 30-40mm?

It seemed that the front was then in fact higher than the rear which isnt what i want, made the whole car really twitchy.

The ride height on the rear was ok versus eibachs on the front. Give it a bit of time anyway to settle, but its not hard to swap over the springs.

Thats right mate, i understand the implications of running on bump stops and wouldnt do that! The AST coilovers are way out of my price range so i will be looking at getting some B8s with Eibachs as and when funds allow.

Id love to know all of what you did to this car Adam, from reading past threads it did sound quite a weapon when it was done.
