Also am I right in thinking that the callipers are identical on the VTS/GTi6 and use the same pads? (I know the discs are the same)________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

Ive had no end of grief trying to get brembo discs from GSF, I know they do stock them but regardless of whether i go in-store or call in and ask for brembo discs they say they have them in or can get them in for me, then when i go to collect they bring out any number of other brands of disc and act suprised when i'm not happy and wont take them. The Doncaster GSF have 8 pairs of Bendix discs in stock as they were ordering them in from their other stores in the hope that one pair would be Brembo's. If you are desperate for brembo then ebay or google ftw, i'm now using Zimmermann discs on both my cars and i'm impressed so far. I got the latest pair for £55 delivered i think, they were posted from Germany too ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

I've heard horror stories in the past about Mintex pads separating from their backing Miles, otherwise I'd go for themBuypartsby have the283mm discs listed as being for the 306 S16 and the 266mm discs for the GTi-6. Anyone bought from them before know which wires they've got crossed (i.e. are the diameters wrong or are do they have the trim level backwards)? ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

There's been much talk about the friction material on ECP pads making a break for freedom too.I was looking for new discs and pads yesterday. Buypartsby only list one disc in 283mm diameter so that should be simple enough. ECP are doing 15% discount atm though if you buy a pair of discs and pads. Pagid discs and pads for a 6 came to about £76. Edit: see what you mean about BPB website now. Nearly every online retailer makes similar f*ck ups despite the simplicity of the task in hand. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. I've never had this happen in 10 years of using Mintex PadsI'd give them a call as I know a couple of people being sent the wrong parts and it takes a while to get the right ones sorted, One of those things where a couple of extra quid at the factors is worth it. ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

What do you reckon to THIS combo? I should probably do the rears as well since the discs have seen better days, and this seems a good price for what it is (assuming I can fit these discs and pads with the standard 309 gti rear calipers).________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

I have the cheaper end of the Mintex brand on atm, and am having constant squeals coming from the front. After checking them, I found the friction material is coming away slightly! Still loads of meat on them... Think the pads and disks were from BPB too! Been on year and a half or so! ________________________________________ Still watching you... |
