Hi,

Does anyone know whether a standard beam deflector works okay with a HID conversion in a standard headlight unit?

Yes works fine. Might have to angle them slightly down to not dazzle other drivers

Well as hid's are designed to work with projector lights, to have them fit normal lights there will be some downside to them. Pass MOTs and that so can't be that bad.
