i have a spare set of 20mm hubcentric adaptors, i want to keep my cyclones but was thinking of giving my car a wider track, i know i will have machine the adaptors so they'll fit the 15 inch rim.Will this improve the handling in any way? Is this what some 205 gti owners did by fitting the wide track running gear from the 309 gti? wheel bearings probably won't last as long, but does anyone know if i will benefit from a bigger 'foot' on the road? |

205's use 309 wishbones driveshafts and rear beams which are all wider, so no spacers involved. I doubt you would notice a improvement in handling through fitting spacers, especially on a road car ________________________________________ ex team astorstill team miami 205 gti-6 |

I'm thinking of doing the same, used to have wellers that sat 15mm wider each side than cyclones, from going back to cyclones I have noticed a small difference in feel, it's mainly a track car and does feel abit more backend happy with the clones on again. Got spacers just deciding what to do with bolts, I have longer tapered bolts, was thinking getting or making some tapered seated washers. |

i wouldn't advise having longer wheel bolts on a track car, best bet is to go with hubcentric spacers that bolt to the hub, just to be safe  ________________________________________ 205 mi16405 Mi16x4 restoration project 406 v6 saloon track car project/daily driver 508 Hdi |
