My GTI - Was starting fine and one day it turns over and but there's no spark to start her up. seems like there is a signal from the crankshaft but it's getting lost in the ECU.

It hasn't been on a proper drive for a while so the battery may have been flat, but even when charged now, there is no spark.

What do you think is wrong, what is the solution?

Thanks for your input; I'm open to all ideas!
