I have a knocking cumin from what sounds like my drivers arch. Does it round some corners and bumps but also does it if i clutch then lift off again to make the car jolt slightly.. Iv had the wheel off and had a quick tug about wile the tyre was changed and nothing seemed loose and ideas?

The top mount seems fine to look at and tug on....is this a stupid thing to say? If this is not the problem then what else could it be?

What about the Bearing at the top of the strut on that side. As I've always had a knock that came from the passenger side. Then when I had to change the front springs due to the one on the drivers side being broken so would not pass an MOT. Here the top bearing came apart when the strut was removed from the car.. Did not have the part's at the time nor the cash. But it still gives off that knocking sound..
