I have a 306 which was using 1.6 front brakes, i changed the brakes from 1.6 to xsi. I then took the car for a ride to feel how good it was working but noticed that while driving the brakes pedal keeps jumping under my foot. What can be causing this to happen?

Yep sounds like the abs.
I had that problem when i had a sensor fail.
