Could either be the switch loose or the connector loose. You can actually see the switch by laying on your back under the footwell and follow up the pedal - at the top is a plate which pushes onto the switch. It should be fairly apparent if it's in the right position or not. If it's not, or it's the wire, say goodbye to the skin on your hands trying to refit it ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

I then spent three hours spitting on my arm to try and free it. True story. ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Luckily, fat people have plenty more skin to lose I can't imagine it looked at all weird to your neighbours, must've looked enough like you were making sweet love to your car *before* you started getting all kinky with it. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

noaki wrote: is there some trick to getting this stupid hateful switch back in? Yes, to put it simply you must have hands /arms of a small filipino child. HTH but on a serious note its a b*tch without the above, but as Owain asked depends how your trying to access it. ________________________________________ Ex-Black 6 - Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... You can rule out the switch by replacing it, I think it was about £8 from Pug. I'd start there, after that you're onto a possibly long and tedious mission tracking down dodgy wiring ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Not necessarily, the switch can easily have faulty connections inside it as it's the only bit that really moves on a daily basis.I'd try wedging the brake pedal down, then get a mate to stand behind the car while you wobble everything about - the switch, connector, wires etc all the way to the back. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

I thought you were replacing it? i know due to the fact it was a ballache to do i changed it for the sake of £8 odd.... so now you may have to do that all over again to put a new one in :Failface________________________________________ Ex-Black 6 - Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary...
