Well im pretty sure that there isnt going to be an easy fix for this but i would appreciate your comments.

Did a trackday last wednesday and the car performed well apart from wanting to chuck its oil out of the filler capSad . Anyway it survived the day and the journey home so i thought it may have just been the filler cap seal, but it isn't.

Cleaned everything off today that was covered in oil and topped it back up etc. Started the engine and it is breathing like fook into my makeshift catchtank.

So ive just taken it for a drive and it is definately not right, the exhaust note is noticebly quieter and it is smoking when i put my foot down.

So my guess is either rings or H/G failiure

Sounds like an excuse for high boost to meNinja LOL Although i really dont need the work at the momentAngry

Dave

Sounds like what happened to mine after Snetterton last August Yes
I had signs of HGF for a while beforehand though and when I took the block apart for a rebuild there was a broken piston ring on the cylinder that had the most water in it.
Seemed rude to not throw some shiny things in while it was apart LOL
