Hi All
Im trying to fix this really annoying problem! The windscreen washer fluid is not working in the car so i have gone through the entire process to find out whats broken!

1. unplug the jets on the bonnet - RESULT! The water comes out all over the bonnet through the pipes

I checked the pump and heard it wherring over until i emptied it and the pump started whaling at me cos it was empty.

I just assumed the jets on the bonnet were completely bunged up so i took them indoors cleaned them up (sprayed air in them & cleaned though & rinsed with bleach.

I went out to put them back on the car the next day and guess what. soon as i plugged them in there was no water coming out of the holes in the jets. Just dribbling though.

I have question that is driving me mad as i want the windscreen wash to world.

Can the pump LOSE its power over time and not have enough energy to push the water through the jet heads or am i being stupid and the jet heads just need replacing?

Any help would be appreciated as i cant keep putting water out the window every traffic light stop to clean the windows!

If you can hear the pump then the problem is elsewhere generally. If standard jet units then these are rubbish and clog easily. Buy some Xsara jets.

Xsara jets are noticeably better than the standard pug ones. Get on it Smile
