Ok guys some serious brain racking for you Razz

Bought 1.4 5dr '97.

Would not start and stay running, so adjusted accellorator cable setting on throttle control bit, sorted.

Car kangarooed loads so changed plugs, then coil then eventually accidently found it was the MAP sensor. Fixed that issue

Its got a very strong pull to left hand side and steering wheel off ceter by bout an inch to drive it in a straight line, (thinking tracking)

When braking it judders loads on the left maybe left rearside brakes more so since the brakes were bled properly as the previous owner put nu brakes on n didnt bother bleedin em. (any ideas)

Major one now, when im drivin and take my foot off accelorator i get a kinda tug on the car like ive dropped to too low a gear but not as severe, or some times a kind of drag on the car like sluggush acceloration like my brakes are sticky but im sure they are fully disengaged while im driving. Other days the car feels very fluid and loose on aceloration to a pooint it feels like its brand new ?! ideas?

And recently as i come off or on the accelorator mainly dry weather im getting like a druy grinding noise from front of the car maybe under near gearbox any ideas?

Taking livin pish in fuel too, half tanks gettin me around 160-200 miles city derivin in birmingham.

Any help on these points are appreciated

honestly ; people don’t bother reading things if it doesn’t make sense

not sure what your getting at…. but get a mate to help you bleed your brakes?

taking your foot off accelerator then you get a "tug" ….. sounds like a f*cked engine mount, is the engine moving about excessively?

now your making some sense, brakes have been bled properly,

engine does seem to move about a bit so will looked at if mounts might be the issue.

thanks

kewlnsol ive also had the same sort of problem and i took it to one of my friends whos a mechanic they said that due to having to bodge my exhaust onto the car the manifold had cracked due to the pressure put onto it from the twin i slapped on there but mine is fine for a bit then the revs drop and the car stalls it does it if its idle or if its running it stalled earlier on at 80mph which was scary as i lost power steering and power assisted braking was also told my throttle module control was fried and the head gasket was on the way out so it could be one of those just like mine but hey it could be a number of things
