Hi guys,

Quick question regarding the rear seat belts. I've done a few searches but still not found the answer I'm looking for.

At the moment I'm putting all the interior back in the car (used to be stripped). I've got stuck on the rear seat belts they are all retracted and I can't for the life of me get them to extend they just lock up.

They were working when the car was stripped 2 or so years ago.

Any ideas?

Don't no if this will help but I had the same problem when I put my 205 interior back in. Check that you've got them on the correct side. Then bolt then back onto the car. Once there in position they should move. They're probably locking because theres a small ball bearing that moves and locks the seat belt. Think it must be there if you go upside down.

Thank you very much. Will try bolting them back on first then, does make sense now you said it. Just got to wait for it to stop p*ssing it down now.

Yeap as said the ball bearing release works in tandeem with the angle they are within the car. Fitted to the wrong side doesn't give the required angle for the ball bearing to be in an unlocked position so it flows out.

Tip if anyone ever takes them out thinking they are the same is to write on the sticker or scratch in to the metal so you remember which side is which or put each sides removed into seperate carrier bags.

I did this on Saturday, had exactly the same issue LOL

They will only extend when the main unit is at *exactly* the right angle. Fit it to the car (50/50 if you'll get it right) then try. If it really won't work, you've probably got the wrong side.

You can check by changing the angle of the thing in your hand and trying to pull out the belt Yes

Laugh Indeed you can, it actually becomes very relaxing/addictive if you've got one removed from a car trying to make it move, it's like a test/game.

Oh and never remove the black covers as the shit that flies out will decapitate you.

Ha! I know *exactly* what you mean. Was very satisfying once I figured it out.

Presumably not such a concern if you have no head?
