Hi Guys.

when i built up my cab with a Phase 3 Gti-6 engine i fitted the phase 3 engine bay loom to the car. Now most things worked except a few key things in side the car. Now at this time the car would start and run with no problems etc.

I've now swapped the engine bay loom over to a working phase 1 loom and now the car doesn't turn over at all. Other things work as they should just not the engine.

I haven't had much time to look at it but i have confirmed that the starter motor isn't getting power.

I've noticed on the gti engine loom there is 2 or so more pins at the bottom of the connector where as the engine bay loom is missing them..

What i'm wondering is if the phase 3 Gti-6 engine loom is different to the phase 1 or 2 for the connector?

I really want to get the car sorted so need to know if i have to rewire it all or just get a new engine loom from a phase 1 or 2

So, it's a p1 car? Is it immobilised? As the p3 setup would lock via the transponder thing under the dash inside... No?

I'd try the ecu first with an unlocked one. A p3 engine should plug straight into a p1 and fire assuming it's unlocked Unsure

phase 3 loom wont fit in a phase 1 car the plugs and sensor clips are different ? A phase 3 engine will fit a phase 1 loom as long as you swap over the sensor connections Wink

the loom all fits fine like in any other 306, its just the car won't turn over because of some reason.
