Hi all,
I've got my self a GTi6 and I'm planning on rebuilding the engine. Wheres the best place to buy parts? I'm thinking, valves, valve seals/guides, main bearings, big end bearings. Possibly get the cam's reground. Can anyone recommend places/rough prices?
Thanks,
Tom.

You build engines then ?

You can't buy guides and unless you know what you doing I suggest you get someone who does to do it Wink

Pretty sure you can't buy guides but you shouldn't need them unless its a tapper ? or valves infact you could just strip it down and put it back together after a good clean with re lapped valves.

Should be good as new with all new gaskets and seals Smile

Ah ok brilliant cheers, I've removed the head and theres evidence of it having a cambelt crisis Razz
Engine turned over fine by hand with no evidence of hitting anything. But theres tipex on the pulleys, and small indents where the valves have hit the pistons. Is there anything else I should be checking?
Thanks for your help.
