Hi all ive got a peugeot 306 1.6 8v meridian srry to post on a gti forum. But I got a engine issue. Basicly ive had a eratic idle for paste weak or two ive fixed that basicly one of the coolant sensors was nackered it caused few issues now ive replaced both coolant sensors my car runs at about 80 degress which to.me seemed a tiny bit cold just wanted to ask u all what ure opinion is on it wether you think this is a bit cold. Also I replaced thermo stat and has new coolant and pump as had new belt fitted other day thanks for any help

anyone got a idea I thought earlier today mabye is the thermostat stuck open but would this cause it to just get to 80 then not heat up anymore my fans wrk I test that earlier but they are never on because it dnt get paste 80 degrees

80 ish is normal for a pug and the needle will move up and down a bit, its not like the VAG cars which go straight up to 90 and stay at 90. If you're thermostat was knackered i would have thought it wouldnt reach 80.

Also it idles very slightly from 900_1000 still thats why I wondered if it was a tiny bit cold still because if it was still switching between warm up phase and normal running
