any RS head running decent cams don't run them either.

And remember, as said, you aren't designing an engine to last 200000 miles. You pay your money and take your chance! Simples! ________________________________________ 205 rally car with 2.2 hybrid 6 engine: phase 2 engine build underway. |

The old follower wear issue is present even with Spray bars, on the 8v XU engine at least unless you use the right 76 Racing oil, we found with this from Follower wear every 6 race's, none was present after a year.As the cam has similar lift and design the same applies for this engine, Go solid and save allot of hassle too ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

CAT Cams were reasonable, I paid around £600 for Piper buckets and springs as I wanted stuff that would definitely match my Piper Cams, and did'nt want any nasty suprises. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. But you'll need quite a bit to make them work in your engine so you'd be better off buying a GTi6 engine, loom and ecu considering the going rate is only £350ish. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

And yes, you need new headbolts ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. I sell new and used welding equipment in the Hampshire area. Sold mine as it's going to be spending its (probably short) life at max RPM so I wanted the best I could afford. My PEC rods are sold yes, and they would be fine for anything other than endurance or circuit racing as the time spent at 9,000 RPM is minimal. Speak to Miles for ARP stuff, I'm sure he can point ypu in the right direction. And I don't see the point of fitting cams and race pistons if you limit your potential with stock rods. I'd wait till I had the money to do it properly. Just my tuppence worth though.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies.
