There's no real 'right' way to do it. It's very dependent on the paint and primer type, how well prepared the surface is and how well the paint adheres to it. Just bear in mind that lots of thin coats will give you a much better finish than fewer thick coats. Be patient with it and you'll be glad you were. ________________________________________ ’00 Moonstone GTi6My Flickr Photostream |

Enough primer to cover your prepped area. Enough paint to cover your primer, and two/three coats of clear-coat. As said, though, it really does depend on what products you're using. ________________________________________ For we are many.PS£ ID: Monkey369 |

my whole engine bay is rattle cans [mixed to sigma blue though] and with the right prep + laquer they withstand anything, have had the 150degree steam cleaner on it at point blank range and no peeling etc, very hard wearing________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |
