Hello, first post here so please be gentle I maybe about to buy a 306GTi, yr 2000 but before I take the plunge would someone be good enough to put my mind at ease?

It appears to be a straight car but it has a couple of warning lights on the dash. Bottom centre, look like two seat belts. At first I thought these were just warning lights for the seat belts not being inserted. But now it looks like warning lights for the side airbags (hadn’t figured it had them) so now I’m a little more concerned.

Are there any known faults, like dodgey connections or could this be an expensive bag of trouble?

Sorry if this is easy to find but I haven’t searched as I need to make a decision pretty quick.

Cheers

Did the seats have airbags in them? The seats could have been replaced with those from an earlier model.

Thanks Cress87 but I've decided to give it a miss. Little things were starting to stack up too much for the price.

VERY common fault, it's the connectors under the seats which gradually work loose every time the seats are moved backwards and forwards. I have the same problem on mine and any dash shot of a gti6 will more than likely have the same lights on the dash!
