Hi,

Can anyone help me with the Peugeot part number for the correct top hat spacers used when relocating the power steering pump to the sump for Rich W's S/C conversion.

I've been having a problem with mine shredding belts when I'm racing, so I'm trying to eliminate things. When I fitted my S/C I got the spacers from a breakers. Now I'm not 100% sure they were the right ones!

Many thanks in advance.

Stuart,

Part numbers are:

6453 AS
6453 CJ

You need two of each.

Please note, you still should check the alignment even with the correct spacers. The sump is not positively located with dowels to the block, so it’s position can vary a tiny bit from car to car.

You can space it out with M10 washers if required.

Cheers
Rich.

Aye, the alignment bit is the only part that isn't really complete on my install still as I cant suss out how to get it accurate.

Atleast my car has gone from throwing a belt every 300 miles on the wrong spacers, to now once every 1000 - 1500 miles on the correct spacers.

As long as the surface face of the sump is clean and correct then alignment should be bang on i would have thought? Dunno

Have had no issues with my belt No
