Hello, I was considering going to have a look at a gti6 that had a snapped cambelt. Whats the norm when the cambelt snaps with these engines? Just valves possibly or is it more likely to have eaten the pistons? Cheers________________________________________ Wanted list... (P.m me if you have any)Rollcage. Strut Braces. Theres not a lot of Valve clearance on these at all so when It goes pop it tends to do it properly I have owned 2 of these that had previous where snapping is concerned, both Bills for fixing were 1k plus... depends on how handy you are with the spanners.________________________________________ Almost standard 1999 Bianca RallyeHilux InvincibleX daily 306 No.13 Carp and specialist Anglers Click here |

Changing valves isn't too much of a drama, but I dont fancy changing pistons as well. I also have a 2.0ltr xsi head if there the same...________________________________________ Wanted list...
