Ive had a search but cant find anything. I want my drivers seat lower. Ive used the lever on the right of the seat near the door but I still want it lower. Is there any other leavers im missing? My head isnt far from the roof and I arent that tall. It might be because Ive been driving round in my caddy which is on its arse. ________________________________________ A little bit sideways |

Unfortunately thats as low as they go - my main grumble with the '6 is how high the driving position is. |

Only way to lower the seats is to attach it directly to some weld-in seat bars and then you'll lose the ability to slide them. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

You need to remove the box section under the seats then weld in some new rails to take the seats I would also re strengthen the floor pan or use a cage as the box section is kinda there for a reason |

Bummer, was hoping it would be a bit more simple than grinding and welding. Suppose I will just have to put up with falling out the window when im railing it. Ha. Im sure I will get used to it again, its not been on the road since last june so forgot what it was like. ________________________________________ A little bit sideways |

I was also hoping there was an easy way to do this. I read in the 205 the seats have spacers between them and the rails which you can remove to get an extra inch or so. |

Na, no such luck. I think technically it's easier to just remove a couple of vertebrae from your spine.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

This is true, they are around 10 or 15mm thick. The seating position in the 205 was much better IMO (even without removing the spacers), and the seats really pinched you in nicely. It was a shock when I left my 205 GTi for the 306 GTi6! I'm half tempted to fit my old 205 seats into the '6 sometimes! |
