Hello there! Just been bleeding my coolant and replacing my thermostat, oh and snapping the thermo bleeder Angry

anyway, whilst doing other bits and bobs I thought I'd check my air filter.

Am I missing a section or could it be installed incorrectly?
The pipe from the grill doesn't actually mate up with the pipework that then goes into the filter.

There must be a ¼" gap between these two

Mine was the same so i took an off cut of stainless steel pipe and flared it on a machine both ends so it fitted tight into the top of the box then it was spot welded.

And for the end that goes into the snorkel that is also a tight fit with a beed of silicone round it for good measure.

This sucks air like nobody's business now.
