had problems starting car wouldn't start unless jumped even though battery had been charging for 3days managed to find the problem, it was a bad earth connection on the engine.managed to fix my fuel leaks with a new connector and started it again on Monday but the exhaust was blowing from all the joins so let it heat up to make sure everything else was ok and seemed to be going ok, had slight over fuelling issue but just put it on to my laptop and reprogrammed the original map back on and seems to have sorted it I think. took the exhaust off as one piece yesterday and took it in to work and just welded all the joins up today to stop the blowing for sure and refitted few minutes ago and fitted a new engine earth seems as old one wasn't work and started first time off the key then was going to get a video for you guys but then it ran out off fuel but will get it filled up and sort that out for you lot . next job on the engender is to up the grill and the splitter back on the front bumper and put slam panel back on plus front bumper and lights the have a hole car built back up had wheels sprayed this week look good only third time in 3 years lol parts still needed: callipers (getting reconditioned as we speak) brakes (discs and pads) anti roll bar linkages (drop links) tyres ________________________________________ 234 BHP TB RALLYE¼ mile 13.9 MY PROJECT THREAD |

Looks excellent. Have you looked into the inlet manifold design / length. You may find that you could improve midrange / torque with a different length?________________________________________ 2.1 16v 306 Rallye. |

What you mean by manifold design I only thought there was one type you could get? Or do you mean the trumpets length? ________________________________________ 234 BHP TB RALLYE¼ mile 13.9 MY PROJECT THREAD |

dans16 wrote: What you mean by manifold design I only thought there was one type you could get? Or do you mean the trumpets length? I was meaning the length of the inlet manifold itself. It may be of no benefit as yours may be perfectly suited to the setup / engine you have. However the inlet length can make quite a difference. ________________________________________ 2.1 16v 306 Rallye. |

Did you run the engine with the car jacked up of the ground? It's probably the ABS unit having a funny five minutes because the fronts are turning at a different speed to the rears. Drive it for a minute and it should go out. (It did with mine anyway ) ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies.
