Any tips on removing it? i've had mole grips on it and been tugging (snigger) all day, it's refusing to budge and i'm getting VERY p*ssed off now.

Rather not destroy the arm, would be more expense to replace it.

Might try tapping it in a bit first then

I usually tap the side but at an angle that will make it move forward using a chisel or old screw driver, its a bit awkward to get much angle but it usually loosens them enough to pull them out after a few taps.

I did have one that just wouldnt come loose. I had to get it all the way out with the above method as it was that tight so I'd be reluctant to hit it in any further, 9/10 it will work but sods law it wont and you be left with less of the pin to play with.

You can easily bend the arm up enough to remove the 'box without damaging it at all. Mine went no further than 30 degrees and the 'box came free. Then just gently bent it back with no lasting damage. f*ck spending hours on that pin, I'd rather gouge my eyes out with rusty spoons. 2 mins and job's a good 'un LOL
