I replaced my clutch cable this afternoon, didn't need to tie a string to the end as it found its way quite easy. It's amazing what a difference it makes, it feels lighter than my mates Fezza ST with a hydraulic clutch. I know it probably won't stay that light once its bedded in, but its more the travel that makes a difference. Before it was basically an on/off mechanism which juddered whenever it was released, but now its really smooth and has a lot of adjustability. Anyway there was a bracket which I couldn't find where goes, the pictures below:

that bit goes about 6" back from the clutch release arm, well it does on my 8v xsi box, forget how it is on the 6. i'll try and get a photo of mine

looks to just keep the cable level as it swings into the box area from the bulkhead and presses into a semi-circle recess

it slots into the top of the gearbox bellhousing

theres a gap shaped like !_/ it slots into that Yes

it wont let me put a backslash in so i put a exclamation mark in instead
