Hi guys i was told today that if i remove a black box from under my manifold and bung the hole up i would get more power but use more fuel. Does anyone know what he is on about many thanks for any replies.

although if you take off the air filter and sprinkle a tiny bit of sand, A TINY BIT, of sand into the engine while its running, this does polish the inside of the engine and give you 1-2bhp increase.

He's talking about the helmholtz resonator. As always the information you need is in the FAQ section on this superb site. Not done it myself but other people have, you can also buy a nice alloy replacement cap in the for sale section.

get throttle bodies to get more air in and if you get a exhaust manifold made so it has 4 pipes sticking out the bonnet that makes the exhaust gasses leave the engine quicker givin you more power... Laugh my ass off
