I've just measured the thickness of my old one and its 7.1mm It didnt slip before i took it out and i seem to remember when i put my new clutch in there didnt seem to be much difference. Here's a few pics of it: The reason i'm asking is that i'm toying with the idea of putting it in my track car when i fit the billet flywheel. Normally i would just buy a new one but i reckon the gearbox will be off again towards the end of summer anyway and i know this one was fine when i took it out. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

8mm with the two friction plates squeezed together, and thats a clutch thats done 5,000 miles and one and a half trackdays. I don't change gear like a c*nt though so clutches last me a while. If yours is down to 5mm I'd say save yourself the aggro of changing it again soon and fit a new one. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. if its 8mm brand new then i would guess that if it went down to 5mm it would of been grinding the rivots for a while________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |
