The other day i did around 25 miles in the car, in a hilly area.

When i got almost to the top of the hill the car basically stopped, i kept putting my foot on the pedal and went nowhere. There was steam coming from everywhere (not smoke!).

After a little while i started it back up and it was fine, i drove 25 miles home fine.

The only issue is that it wont let me do over 3000 revs, when the car revs over 3000 the sports light and the snow light FLASH and it just over revs. This is the AUTOMATIC gear box version of the 306.

I took it to the garage and because it is an auto no body will touch it.

Do you guys think this is just in need of transmission fluid?

Has anyone had a problem or heard of a problem like this before?
